2015 People’s Fair Entertainment Lineup – Coming Soon!

GREAT ENTERTAINMENT:  If you’ve been in Capitol Hill you know the great diversity and originality of its buildings and residents. We feature the same kind of great diversity and originality in our entertainment. Whether it’s pop, gospel or country, rock or blues, we’ve got it all. Through our application process the genres are scored separately to assure a wide range of entertainment for the entire family.  You name it, we’ve got it.

The application process begins with an online application that will be reviewed by our selection panel consisting of members of the Entertainment Committee, Fair Management, and members of the local entertainment community.  Entertainers will then be invited to our live auditions, the UMX (Ultimate Music Xperience).  The UMX takes place at the end of March and is open to the public, who will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite bands.

If you are in a band or solo artist, or are in a dance or cultural group and would like to apply to perform at the 2015 People’s Fair, please fill out our ONLINE APPLICATION (downloadable application and stage plot) or call the CHUN office at 303-830-1651 to be added to our entertainment email list.

**It was a difficult decision, but this year the People’s Fair will only have 3-4 entertainment stages.  Along with this reduction in performers, we will no longer have a cultural performance stage.  Unfortunately, we will not be taking applications for dance groups, buskers, drama groups, choir groups and cultural groups.  If the opportunity arises at a later date this year, we will contact you.  To be added to our entertainment email list, please call the CHUN office at 303-830-1651.

The Ultimate Music Xperience (UMX)

March 28 and 29, 2015
11AM – 7PM
@Celtic Tavern/Delaney’s (1801 Blake St.)

A battle-of-the-bands type live audition features roughly 45 local, primarily undiscovered solo and group acts competing for the opportunity to play at one of the largest music events in the state: the CHUN Capitol Hill People’s Fair.  UMX is a FREE event and includes prize giveaways and features celebrity emcees from 99.5 The Mountain.  The public is invited to be a part of a Colorado tradition, vote for their favorite acts, and aid in the selection process for the 2015 People’s Fair musical line-up.  The complete UMX schedule (subject to change) will be available at the middle to end of February.

The 2015 UMX is sponsored by the Celtic Tavern/Delaney’s, Coors Light, 99.5 The Mountain, Westword, 9NEWS, Pepsi Bottling Group, Dog House Music, Panera Bread, the Republic National Distributing Company and Happy Llama Event Print Specialists.
